Nokia has made its intention clear with Lumia 900 announcement. Nokia will be eyeing to recapture its US market share with this new Windows Phone device. After its honeymoon with Microsoft in 2010, Finnish company was under very much pressure to perform well in smartphone segment. It didn’t disappoint us with Lumia 800 and Lumia 710.
However, in order to regain US market share it has to offer something better, which could be just announce Lumia 900. Undoubtedly, Lumia category handsets are beauty, but not beast. The color variants, unibody design, gorilla glass touchscreen, Carl Zeiss lens etc.

Lumia 900 seems more like a tad upgraded version of its elder brother 800. As you would expect, Nokia has integrated much awaited front-facing camera in this device to take full advantage of Tango calling feature.
With trimmed version Lumia 900 looks much more delicate than its sibling Lumia 800 and 710 series devices. However, there isn’t much improvement beneath the unibody design. In the previous leaked specs post, we did mention about the amazingly slim body and jump up from 3.7-inch screen to 4.3-inch screen.
With 4.3-inch AMOLED display Nokia would be competing with many Android devices in US market. Support of AT&T LTE network will give them an instance access to huge user database of AT&T network. Success will all depend on how AT&T and Microsoft pushed this device to US market.
Internal storage of 16GB and 512MB of RAM is feature not to brag about. Although, the memory is decent, but remains outdated compared to other Android beats. It will be interesting to see whether specs hungry US users will adopt it or not.
Not to forget that Nokia has partnered with EA to bring some interesting games exclusively for Lumia users. Apart from that they will be having an exclusive access to Nokia Drive. With RIM fading away, Microsoft will be eager to push this device hard in US market. They will sense an opportunity here to try everything to grab the share of RIM, but they have to compete with Apple and Android too.
Overall, Lumia 900 looks like a feature packed device with Mango guise. On the top it is wrapped up with a beautiful unibody design.
